Amazing! Most delicious meal this trip to Italy! We stopped in for lunch, after getting a recommendation to eat from a local shop keeper. Be sure to come before 3pm, or after 7pm— we were able to catch them for lunch on our second attempt! We had the black truffle and pepper pasta, and the ricotta ravioli. Everything was super delicious and a treat for the palate. Service was excellent. We had the ricotta cheesecake for dessert, and it was equally delicious! Thank you!
This restaurant is 5/5 ... you basically get Michelin caliber food AND service. I travel 150+ nights per year in different hotels and restaurants, and can say hands down! This is a gem if you are on Amalfi Coast, just a few minutes drive of Positano. It was recommended by Carmela who lives there, and we came during Christmas holidays and it was evident many locals come here for the great value and quality. I wish our schedule permitted us to come a second time during our stay. There shall be a next time!
Amazing food and even better service. Very smart decor and relaxing room. Love the open kitchen split on 3 different areas for food, desserts with lovely old ladies and pizza. The food so good we went twice and it is the best we have had in Amalfi, and this is our 5th visit to this lovely region. You can park in front of the restaurant or along the road. Recommend the 18h slow cook pork, delicious!
This place was divine the food was gorgeous. The Chef adjusted the menu to our dietary needs. We had the tasting menu. The service was impeccable. Staff really friendly. They provided a shuttle bus from our hotel.
We came here for dinner and we all had the 5 course tasting menu- it was superb! We loved everything, especially the fried zucchini squash blossom and the octopus dish. The service was fantastic, they picked us up from main area of Positano and helped us call a taxi. The servers were knowledgeable and helpful and the restaurant was beautiful. The wine selection was also great from all regions of Italy, went with a nice Barbera from the Piedmont. Best meal we've had in Italy.
Unfortunately, we stopped here during their afternoon closed hours (3 pm to 7 pm). But our waiter saw we were in dire need of a drink and offered to serve us (very nice gentleman). We had a beer and a spritz outside and he also brought some delicious crispy bread snacks. We enjoyed the chat with him, the view, our small snack and the gorgeous view outside. The waiter mentioned the vehicle noise so I took out my cell phone and opened my dB measuring app. It was a near tie between a large bus and a motorcycle as to the loudest vehicle! But it was not a particularly busy day and being past Positano, it was much more peaceful.
Far and away the best meals I had on this trip and maybe one of my best meals ever. Initially went for lunch, which was spectacular. The local dishes were done to perfection. Fried zucchini blossom, seafood pastas. The wine list here is truly exceptional and Giuseppe is the perfect guide.
We came back and had the 5 course dinner, which was frankly a revelation. There are meals that are lovely and you forget, and there are transcendent experiences: this was transcendent. The pasta nerona was the very best rendition of this dish that I've ever had. I could go on and on.
(No info about rooms). I would give this place six stars if I could.
Don't write a bad review about this restaurant or Giuseppe will text and harass you for two hours about taking it down. I understand the need to reach out and ask if there's something to be done to preserve the reputation of the restaurant but I don't think it's very professional to text and argue with a customers sick family member. The fact remains that if you book a reservation at this restaurant and you do not show up, you will be charged 45 euros per person. My husband called and asked to please let us out of the reservation because I was sick and the person that answered the phone said no, it wasn't possible. Instead of being charged 180 euros for not showing up, I decided it better for my family to go eat without me. I am simply trying to warn others of this costly reservation agreement.
